How to Fixed Damaged Dentures?

Vero Beach dentures are a popular treatment for missing teeth, but they can wear out over time. Damaged dentures, whether from a fracture, chip, or a loose fit, can cause discomfort and make it difficult to eat or speak effectively. However, numerous methods exist for repairing broken dentures and getting them to work properly again.

three different kinds of Vero Beach Dentures

How to Manage Dentures

Fractured or Chipped Denture

A fracture or chip in a false tooth is one of the most common problems. Several circumstances, such as accidental drops, hard food bites, or ordinary wear and tear, can cause this. You can repair a broken or chipped denture or take it to a professional repair service. These services often involve using dental materials such as resin or acrylic to fill the damaged area and restore the integrity of the denture.

Loose Dentures

Looseness is another typical problem with dentures. This can happen when the denture does not fit properly, producing discomfort and making chewing and speaking difficult. You can use dental adhesives, such as dental cream or powder, to keep loose dentures in place. If, after employing adhesives, the denture remains loose, it may need to be relined or reconstructed to guarantee a proper fit.

Discoloration

Discoloration or yellowing of dentures is another issue that might arise. Several circumstances, including food and drink staining, aging, or exposure to harsh chemicals, can cause this. You can use specialized denture cleansers and polishes or seek expert cleaning services to restore the whiteness and brightness of your dentures.

Severely Damaged Dentures

Dentures may become entirely shattered or damaged beyond repair in some circumstances. If this is the case, they must be replaced with new dentures. Your dentist can advise you on the best solutions for your needs, whether a complete or partial denture is required. To avoid further issues and protect your mouth’s health and operation, it is critical to replace damaged dentures as soon as possible.
