The Key Benefits of Wearing Dentures

Treasure Coast Dentures for couples

The appearance of your smile plays a crucial role in making lasting impressions. If you have missing teeth, you probably don’t smile a lot. Thankfully, Treasure Coast dentures can give you back the confidence you need to flash your pearly whites with pride!

Did you know that 16% of American adults between the ages of 35 and 44 wear full or partial dentures? Additionally, 3% of individuals ages 18 to 34 wear dentures as well! Based on these numbers, we can safely say that over 20 million Americans choose to replace their missing teeth with dentures.

Have you recently lost some or all of your teeth? Check out the reasons why dentures are one of the most popular options to replace missing teeth!

Creating Treasure Coast Dentures

What Exactly are Dentures?

Dentures are replacements for your lost teeth. You can take them out and put them back into your mouth. There are two main types of dentures:

  • Complete or Full Dentures

These are used when all the teeth in the entire upper and/or lower jaw are missing. Conventional dentures are fitted 8 to 12 weeks after your remaining teeth have been extracted. Alternatively, immediate dentures are placed as soon as your remaining teeth have been taken out.

  • Partial Dentures

These are used to replace a single tooth or a few teeth. They consist of artificial teeth on a base that’s attached to your natural teeth.

The Key Benefits of Wearing Dentures

It Helps Improve Your Speech!

Each time you try to form words, your tongue pushes against your teeth while you make the sounds. Needless to say, you can find it extremely challenging to pronounce certain words if you have missing teeth. With dentures, your natural speech can be restored.

It Reinstates the Function of Your Mouth!

Since a good set of dentures are designed to work just like your natural teeth, you can expect them to reinstate your mouth’s full function. With dentures, simple tasks that include eating and speaking as normal won’t be an issue.

It Restores Your Chewing Ability!

One of the best things about wearing dentures is the restoration of your chewing ability. With artificial teeth, you can finally enjoy most of your favorite solid foods.
