Vero Beach Dentures | Denture Care Rules You Wouldn’t Want to Break

who offers vero beach dentures?

If you want to keep smiling with your Vero Beach dentures intact, you’ll need to know how to care for them properly. It doesn’t make a difference whether you’re wearing complete dentures or partial dentures – both types will last longer if they receive the TLC they deserve. Take a look at the denture care rules that you wouldn’t want to break.

Rules for Keeping Your Dentures in Great Shape

Give Your Dentures a Break

It’s essential to take them out before bedtime so that you can give your mouth tissues to recover after you wear the dentures all day. You can also choose to remove them for 6 to 8 hours during the day. While you’re giving your dentures a break, be sure to soak them in warm water if your dentures come with metal clasps. This will effectively remove stains, bacteria, plaque, and tartar. For dentures that don’t have metal clasps, you can soak them in a unique denture cleanser or a solution with water and vinegar.

Don’t Drop Them

When you’re trying to clean your dentures, make sure that you do so over a bowl of water or a folded towel just in case you accidentally drop them. Steer clear of hard brushes, reliable cleaners, or toothpicks because these can cause considerable damage to your dentures. Also, avoid leaving them in places where your kids or pets can reach them.

Clean Them Every Day

If you fail to clean your dentures daily, stains, plaque, and tartar will begin to accumulate. This will irritate your oral tissues and make them vulnerable to infection. Remember to use a soft-bristled toothbrush or a special denture-cleaning brush. Also, feel free to use mildly abrasive toothpaste, detergent, or dental paste for cleaning.
