4 Fun Ways to Get Your Kids to Brush Their Teeth

kids showing the Best Dentist in Fort Pierce how they brush their teeth

You’re not the only busy parent who finds it virtually impossible to get the little ones to brush their teeth. However, if you turn this battle into something fun and exciting, they’d be happy to brush twice a day. Although you can always rely on the best dentist in Fort Pierce to give you great advice, here are a few ideas to make brushing fun for your little darlings.

Ideas to Make Brushing Fun for Your Kids

  1. Let Them Pick Their Own Toothbrush

One of the best ways to get your kids exciting about brushing is to let them choose their own age-appropriate toothbrushes. Whether it features their favorite video game characters, lights up, or makes music when they brush, they’re far more likely to love using it.

  1. Add Flavor To their Toothpaste

You can find plenty of toothpaste options for kids that come with colorful packaging and a wide variety of fun flavors to choose from. Look for a toothpaste that’s themed to what your child likes, whether it’s Elmo, Spider-Man, or My Little Pony. If you have a young brusher who’s just starting out, choose a fluoride-free training toothpaste that’s safer to swallow.

  1. Role Play Teeth Brushing

Since kids love role-playing, get them one of those special teeth brushing dolls that are specifically designed to allow kids to brush the toys’ teeth. If you don’t have one of these toys, you can always give your child a spare toothbrush and have them brush their favorite toy’s teeth.

  1. Brush To the Music

The best way to engage and encourage your kid through two minutes of brushing is to sing (and dance) along with them to their favorite song. If you want, you can also use tooth-brushing apps to make brushing a fun experience.
