How Dental Implants Work with Your Natural Teeth

Are you curious about what happens when dental implants Fort Pierce are placed alongside your real teeth? One of the most important reasons why patients opt for this option is because dental implants can be specially designed to perfectly fit your natural teeth. Moreover, the dental implant will also look and feel like they’re real.

Facts About How Dental Implants Work with Your Existing Teeth

They Won’t Have to be Anchored to Your Real Teeth

During the procedure, the dentist places a biocompatible titanium post into your jaw in order to secure the artificial tooth. This means that unlike the dental bridge, your replacement teeth won’t have to be anchored to your existing teeth. This makes it a more hygienic option than other alternatives.

They Won’t Affect the Structure of Your Other Teeth

As mentioned earlier, dental implants are designed to fit perfectly alongside your existing teeth. The dentist won’t have to extract the teeth that are adjacent to it to have them fitted. Aside from seamlessly filling in the gaps left by your missing teeth, dental implants also provide your existing teeth with enough structural support. Thanks to dental implants, your natural teeth won’t have to overwork when you’re chewing your food.

Their Colors and Contours will Match Your Existing Teeth

One of the best things about replacing your missing teeth with dental implants is that the dentist can customize their color and contour according to your needs. They use shade guides as they try to come up with the right shade when they compare them with your photographs. As long as they’re placed by an experienced and qualified dental practitioner, you can be sure that you’ll enjoy a healthier and more beautiful smile once your dental implants are placed.
