Immediate Assessment

When you arrive, the dental team will quickly assess your condition to determine the severity of the issue. This step is crucial for identifying the problem and deciding on the most appropriate treatment. The goal is to relieve pain and prevent further damage as soon as possible.

Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

After the initial assessment, the dentist will perform a more detailed examination, which may include X-rays. This helps pinpoint the exact issue and allows the dentist to recommend the best course of action. Whether you need a filling, a root canal, or even an extraction, the dentist will explain the procedure and answer any questions you may have.

Pain Relief and Follow-Up Care

Pain management is a top priority during an emergency dental visit. The dentist will ensure that you’re comfortable before proceeding with any treatment. After addressing the immediate problem, you’ll receive instructions for follow-up care to aid in your recovery. This might include prescriptions for pain relief or antibiotics and advice on how to care for the treated area at home.
