How Dental Implants Prevent Bone Loss

Where to get Port St. Lucie Dental Implants?

If most or all your natural teeth are missing, you should replace them immediately with Port St. Lucie dental implants. When there’s nothing left in your jawbone to stimulate bone growth, rapid deterioration takes place.

It’s like your body can sense that part of your jawbone is no longer needed to support teeth, so it begins to degenerate. Your lips cave in, your lower face fades, and wrinkles form around your mouth. It can make you look older than your actual age. Fortunately, dental implants can preserve your facial structure and prevent further bone loss. How? Let’s find out!

How Do Dental Implants Prevent Further Bone Loss?

Dental Implants act as Tooth Roots

The body can sense when a part of the jawbone is no longer needed to support teeth. Therefore, when you lose a tooth, the bone directly supporting that tooth deteriorates. Replacing your missing tooth immediately with dental implants can help prevent this bone loss.

Dental implants act as roots. They trick your body into thinking that part of your jawbone is still necessary even though your natural tooth is no longer there. It helps stop bone deterioration by encouraging bone growth.

Made from Biocompatible Materials

Port St. Lucie dental implants are designed to mimic real teeth. They’re made from biocompatible materials. Therefore, they can fuse with your jawbone and become a permanent part of the structure. When dental implants merge with your jawbone, it triggers bone growth, which helps preserve your facial structure.  Ultimately, implants can restore the aesthetics and functionality of your smile.

Dental Implants Instigate Force on the Jawbone

Dental implants are strategically positioned within your jawbone. So, whenever you’re biting or chewing, it constantly interacts with your bones. It helps keep the bones supporting your teeth healthy and functional. The constant interaction also promotes bone growth.
