When Do You Need to Get Dental Bridges?

When You Have More Than One Missing Teeth

A dental bridge can replace one or more consecutively lost teeth. Each subsequent tooth on the gap’s side acts as an anchor, holding it in place. This maintains the bridge’s stability and usability. The placement of a bridge typically requires two dentist visits, making it a very practical option for tooth replacement.

Need a Quick Solution to Lost Teeth

Bridges are a good choice for people who have lost their teeth and are looking for a quick and dependable solution. In contrast to dental implants, which require at least two months to integrate with the jawbone fully, patients can have an aesthetically attractive smile in just two consultations with dental veneers.

The Patient’s State of Health

The patient’s overall health is a further factor that may make dental bridges necessary. Due to illnesses like cancer, diabetes, medicines, or auto-immune disease, some people cannot have major surgeries like implants. Additionally, the oral cavity’s condition can exclude implants or bone grafting.

An insufficient bone may force patients to choose a dental bridge because implant implantation would necessitate a lengthy bone grafting operation.

Missing the Front Part of the Teeth

The dentist could advise getting a dental crown and bridge if no more than three teeth are lost. The teeth close by must be sturdy enough to offer sufficient support. Additionally, due to the strain bridges can sustain, they are typically chosen for front-row teeth rather than back teeth.
